Photography is a collaboration. My role is to guide, create and capture... but a successful session also depends on the cooperation of everyone involved.

I do everything I can to make my sessions relaxed and enjoyable. I give gentle direction, create a calm atmosphere and adapt to the energy of each family or individual. However, it’s important to remember that I can’t control every variable - especially when working with children.

If a child (or adult) is unwilling to participate, uncooperative or visibly upset, I’ll always do my best to encourage, distract and comfort the... but I can’t guarantee perfect smiles or poses if the cooperation simply isn’t there. Patience, positive energy and teamwork from parents or partners make a tremendous difference.

It’s also important to note that I’m not responsible for the behaviour or cooperation of clients or their children during a session. My goal is to capture genuine moments, but that requires a willingness from everyone to engage. If a session becomes too challenging, we can pause, regroup or adjust - but the final outcome always reflects the collective effort on the day.

The best photos happen when everyone relaxes, connects and allows the process to unfold naturally. When that happens, the results are always beautiful and authentic.
